Logan locked up and returned upstairs, anxious to check on Bryn. He found her sound asleep in the wing chair in his bedroom. Quietly approaching her, he was pleased to see the return of faint color to her cheeks and her slow even breaths.
As he bent down and lifted her into his arms, she stirred, grumbling in irritation. "Why didn't you get into bed, baby?" he asked softly.
"I didn't know where you wanted me," she mumbled, yawning.
"Under me would be good," he muttered.
"Hmm?"
Logan grinned, good thing she's so sleepy, he thought. He put her down, slid her out of his robe and into his bed. Putting the lights out, he quickly undressed and joined her. A deep sigh of satisfaction passed his lips as Bryn immediately snuggled up to him. He gratefully acknowledged his body's willingness to let her presence in his bed go without having to fight off normally insistent sexual urges. The worry he'd suffered when she became sick and his protective instincts were apparently keeping his libido in check. He nuzzled his face in her hair, drifting off to sleep with the certain knowledge that she was well and right where she was supposed to be.
A few hours later he wasn't so sure. Bryn began to squirm around and he woke, immediately solicitous. "Are you all right, baby?" he whispered, leaning over her. She pulled at the tee shirt she wore. "Hot, don't want this," she muttered as she struggled with it.
"Hold on sweet, we'll get it off you." Logan took a deep breath and got the shirt untwisted, neatly pulling it off over her head.
Bryn immediately quieted, drifting back to sleep. Logan immediately got a hard-on. "Have mercy," he groaned reverently, swallowing.
Bryn lay stretched out in peaceful abandon. His superior night vision allowed him to see her quite clearly. Voluptuous was the word that came to mind. Her body was soft, rounded and curvy in all the right places.
He reached out and lightly cupped the full firm swell of one breast. The nipple instantly beaded, pushing into the palm of his hand. He let his hand trail slowly down her abdomen. Her skin was smooth and warm, silk and satin under the slow glide of his fingers. Stopping to graze the soft curls at the apex of her shapely thighs, he paused as she stirred restlessly.
Hovering over her, he was mesmerized by her smell. His nose followed the trail his hand made as he breathed in the heady aroma of his mate. Arriving at her mound he closed his eyes, inhaling deeply. He imagined parting the delicate folds, his tongue laving the swollen lips and the nectar filled inner tissues. A low growl issued from his throat, bringing him back.
She's been sick, she's been sick, she's been sick, he repeated over and over to himself and with a heartfelt groan removed his hand, pulling the covers back over her tempting body. Logan turned on his side with his back to her hoping the removal of at least the visual part of the temptation would help.
His hope was short lived. Bryn again nestled close. The twin peaks of her nipples burrowed into his back as her soft curves fitted against him. He could feel the brush of her pubic hair against his buttocks.
"Dear Lord," he groaned and steeled himself to endure the rest of the night in frustrated torture.

TO TRUST A WOLF is a fiery tale of a romance between a human and a shapeshifter. Logan is the alpha of his pack, but has waited patiently for Bryn to be ready for his masterful wooing. Bryn is smart, but a bit of an innocent – she's only been with two men in her life. The thought of Logan has her alternately turned on and worried, but on their first date they're practically ripping off their clothes in their lust. TO TRUST A WOLF is about trust and acceptance for what Logan is. Bryn has to put up with challenges by other wolves and win their respect, since she is human. And she has to decide whether a life as the mate of a werewolf is what she wants.
TO TRUST A WOLF is well-paced, with a terrific romance between two people who are different from each other. This is the first I've read by Kate Steele, but it will not be my last. She has drawn me into her werewolf clan and I can picture a story for several minor characters. (Please!) My only annoyance was Logan continually calling Bryn "babe." I don't mind the term, but after a while it grated on my nerves and I wished he would call her by either her name or another endearment. But that was just a minor issue; I thoroughly enjoyed the romance between Logan and Bryn.
Scorching sex mixed with a fascinating plot make TO TRUST A WOLF a must read for readers who love shapeshifter stories. The ending gives readers a tantalizing tease at who's up next. I can't wait.

This is a phenomenal read. There really are no other words to describe it. The evolving relationship between Bryn and Logan starts off strong and just keeps picking up pace as they get to know each other more and more. While Logan knows that Bryn is his mate, he is very excited to get to know her likes and dislikes, her personal history, all the little things that together form Bryn the woman, the person he cherishes above all else. Ms. Steele does a superb job in showing how much Logan cares for Bryn, but what really touched me is the fact that she made Bryn come to care just as much for Logan. Bryn could easily have become a bitter woman, hurt and alone due to a bad marriage, but with wonderful characterizations showcasing a woman who lives life to the fullest, Bryn instead becomes a woman that all female readers can identify with because, though she is susceptible to a rugged and manly body, she knows that it is what is underneath the veneer that counts the most. Together, Bryn and Logan form a very emotional bond that will touch readers on all levels.
I couldn't put this story down and eagerly await its sequel. If you aren't a fan of werewolf stories, this might just be the story that will change your mind because of the great focus on the evolution of a loving and caring relationship between two believable and likable characters. This is a must read!

To Trust a Wolf is a remarkable story, one that has a believable quality to it—the world of werewolves seem almost real, as if there truly was an Iron Tower pack that sometimes rivaled with the neighboring Twin Pines pack. And all of these encounters, heated contests and rivalry happening under the nose of mere humans.
Kate Steele portrays women so marvelously well in the story! I have known so many women who have felt like Bryn—they've been treated badly and have begun to doubt themselves and their judgment, beginning to entertain insecure thoughts. It is so admirable that Ms. Steele is able to understand what women go through so well—even their everyday experiences are depicted so dynamically. When Bryn and Clare talk to each other it is very animated, very much like how any woman would gossip and chatter with her best friend. All women somehow act that same way around their best friend.
But what I enjoyed most of all in the story was the idea of a man—an alpha—who can dominate a woman and yet at the same time treat her equally simply because he loves her and cares about her so much that he wouldn't ever take her for granted. That kind of man is really seriously sexy! Men who are confident in their position that they are willing and able to indulge a woman and give her equal rein over the relationship is what a real man is and that is the kind of man that Logan Sutherland is—a real man (with a tendency to turn into a wolf).
Finally, I would like to add that enjoyed the warm companionship that Logan and Bryn shared. It bespoke a really deep understanding between the characters. And it is equally enjoyable that underneath this warm companionship was a sexy and spicy undertone which was a great turn-on. It must have been hard to manage but Ms. Steele pulled it off perfectly. To Trust a Wolf is a masterpiece that is a testament to great writing, keep up the good work, Ms. Steele!

This is a very tender novel. Logan is every woman's dream. He is considerate, sympathetic, empathetic, and knows exactly what he wants. Bryn is a wounded character and tries her best to avoid Logan and what his attention and presence would mean in her life. In building their relationship the author introduces some great secondary characters that bring out some funny dialogue between them and the main characters. This is a very sweet romance and because of Logan's care and patience he enthralls not only Bryn but also the reader. For me, Logan is different than a lot of the alpha males in other erotic romances. He seems more in touch with his feelings and his lady's feelings. He is not overly impatient with Bryn and gives her time and space to adjust to his interest in the beginning but his 'alpha-ness' does appear as Bryn accepts him and his desires start really pushing him. Do not get me wrong this is not a sugary sweet romance; there are great erotic scenes especially the first sex scene between the two because it involves Logan shifting and Bryn accepting him totally and completely especially when his more alpha characteristics start coming through. The second to last sex scene is definitely one of the most erotic scenes I have read, it involves thirty minutes of constant climaxes between Bryn and Logan (whew, baby). The epilogue gives a glimpse of the follow-up to this book with Logan's smart-mouth friend Jace and Bryn's sister, Hayley, meeting in the most interesting of ways - I cannot wait to read their story!

As a huge fan of werewolf stories, I was drawn at first to the name and cover of this e-
book. By the time I hit chapter two, it was difficult to leave the computer without reading the rest of it. With highly sensual and erotic sex scenes, your senses will be set afire by Logan's seduction of Bryn. I suggest reading this when you know have time to read it all at once, as the temptation is too great not to finish it in one sitting. From the way the book ended, I am assuming we can look forward to Jace and Hayley's story coming soon.

TO TRUST A WOLF was a fantastic read that really conveyed the tenderness and patience Logan had for Bryn and his willingness to move slowly, lest he lose the woman he loves, even if his patience at times frustrates him. The obvious love that Logan holds for Bryn is touching and will have readers reading this story over and over again. Kate Steele has written a fantastic story that readers will greatly enjoy and not want to put down.
