"Matthew," Col called softly. Matt stirred, a small, uneasy movement. "Easy, sweet man, it's only a dream, only a dream," Col whispered as the connection easily formed between them. In Matt's subconscious, his eyes opened and Col let himself fall into their deep blue depths. For the first time, undistracted by the feel of Matt in his arms, he was able to critically study his mate.
Matthew's face bore a fresh, boyish aura that was enhanced by the pale golden color of his short hair. His lips were full and sensual and Col licked his own at the remembered feel of them, plump and ripe, when they'd kissed. Matt's nose was straight and a bit on the broad side, marking the presence of an African-American ancestor.
In Matthew's mind, he was naked as always when he slept and Col let his gaze wander the firm hills and valleys of Matt's body. He obviously worked to keep himself physically fit. The muscles in his arms and legs were solid and well developed. There were visible ridges on his abdomen and Col smiled, intrigued at the sight of his outie belly button. At rest, his cock was still respectably long and plump. Col looked forward to seeing, feeling and tasting every inch of this delectable man, especially that oh-so-tempting part.
Growing aroused, Col sternly reined himself in and concentrated on his purpose. "Matthew, do you remember me?"
"Yes, you're Col and we met this afternoon. I hope this isn't going to turn into a nightmare," he murmured plaintively.
"Why do you think it might?" Col questioned gently.
"Because you scared me. I liked you at first, you smell good and you're really hot," he admitted innocently. "But then, it changed. Why did it change, Col? I've been so careful. I thought I was strong now. I don't want to go back," Matt confessed growing agitated. "I don't want to go back there. Eric! Eric, help me!" Matt cried out, his voice almost child-like in his need, while his body and mind thrashed against Col's hold.
Alarmed, Col sought to calm him. "Shh, baby, hush, it's all right," he soothed and reached out to stroke Matt's face not really expecting to feel anything, but unable to stop making the gesture. They both froze in surprise at the warm, tactile sensation of Col's hand against his skin. Instead of growing even more panicked, Matt relaxed under his soft touch.
Col breathed a sigh of relief. "That's right, baby. Just relax and when you wake, remember this dream, remember the warmth of my touch, but most of all, remember that I will never hurt you," he whispered, softly stroking Matt's forehead and cheek. "Sleep now, Matt. Tomorrow will bring another dream."
"Tomorrow," Matt murmured and drifted deeply into a dreamless slumber.
For the next few nights, Col visited Matthew, and each time he brought only pleasure in the form of soft words and soothing touches. Having discovered that it was possible to touch Matt while he dreamt, and to be welcomed as Matt actively anticipated his arrival, Col gave in to the needs that burned within him. On the third night, he woke Matt in an entirely different way.

Bond of the Maleri': Mate Hunt by Kate Steele is a very erotic paranormal SciFi story. [...]
Ms Steele weaves a very descriptive story for the reader. The erotic scenes are very graphic and not for the faint of heart. The scenes where Col finds out what happened to his mate and how he can help him were beautiful to behold. The interactions between Col and Matt were sweet and very touching. I look forward to the sequel Double or Nothing about Matt's brother Eric. Thank you, Ms. Steele, for a very enjoyable read.

I truly enjoyed this book. Ms. Steele tells the love story of Col and Matthew with
sensitivity and imagination. She made me believe there could be worlds out there which
are more tolerant than our own. It was a delight to read about two such wonderful men
finding each other and pursuing a loving relationship. I highly recommend Bond of the
Maleri': Mate Hunt to anyone who enjoys erotic love stories with a twist.

Coltas (Col) Odarie desperately needs the relief only a mate can provide. Sexual relief is not an issue as his brother healers at the Contaral Healing Complex can provide that. If he does not find a mate, he will end up being a patient instead of a healer. In pursuit of his mate, he leaves for Earth where he opens his mind and waits for the thought patterns of his mate to filter through his shields.
From the first page, Ms. Steele captured my imagination. Telepaths, far-off worlds and hot, steamy sex all combined to make me race through the pages. Maleri are always male and always homosexual. Col is older and more experienced. Matt has been hurt in the past and is wary of Col's telepathic abilities. Ms. Steele's approach to dealing with Matt's reluctance to see Col was not unique, but the extra twist she put on it, was certainly refreshing. I felt privileged to watch Matt and Col's relationship progress from one of fear and avoidance to friendship to raunchy, no holds barred sexual antics. Ms. Steele also injects snappy wisecracks from Eric, Matt's brother. I was giggling at the repartee between Eric and Col. How Matt put up with them, I do not know. Ms. Steele has created a world that I certainly want to know more about. I look forward to her next book with interest.
